KRG Representative thanks British Parliament for formally recognising genocide crimes against Kurds

London, UK (www.uk.krg.org) – At the ninth annual reception of the Kurdistan Regional Government (KRG), hosted in the Houses of Parliament on Tuesday night, the High Representative to the UK thanked the United Kingdom and international friends for supporting the Kurdish genocide awareness campaign, as well as the ongoing interest in opportunities in Kurdistan.

Syrian refugee children to get school in Domiz Camp

Domiz Camp, Kurdistan Region, Iraq (UK.KRG.org) - The Kurdistan Regional Government UK Representation is assisting educationalists from Britain and the Barzani Charity Foundation to establish a school in the Domiz camp for refugees from Syria.

The camp in Duhok province is home to about 50,000 refugees who have fled the violence in Syria. Many more Syrians have found sanctuary in the Kurdistan Region since the conflict began two years ago and numbers are expected to continue to rise.
